I started this series a few years ago. I have updated each year, adding more tips and suggestions ... and will do so as I go along)

--------------------------------------------------------------

Today is our first installment of a series of posts {Ramadan Ready}.

There ‘a lot of things going on here these days, with only about a month until we welcome Ramadan. If you havn’t subscribed to my newsletter, I invite you take advantage of upcoming posts about preparing for Ramadan. It's really easy, just click on this link and select your prefered subscription and enter your e-mail.

Just woke up today and realized Ramadan is less 30 days away?!

Yep, Ramadan less then 30 days away.

How do you feel?

Are you EXCITED?

Or are you stressed? Anxious? Nervous? Worried about getting ready? Dreading that Ramadan is so close? Some people are.

Stop.

Step back.

Relax.

Stop thinking so much. [Okay, I'm the last person who should be lecturing ...but ]
Ramadan is the best of months. Ramadan is the best of all guests.

The holiest, beautiful, humbling, harmonious time of the year.
The month where it’s easy to worship Lord of all Lords, Creator of all things.
The month where the doors of Paradise are opened.
The month where those annoying devils are chained up.
I could go on and on but I won’t.

So I say: Marhaba Ramadan!

If we haven’t started working or preparing for Ramadan, we need to start NOW! I'll give you a few good reasons:

1) We can’t guarantee that we’ll be alive that long. Subhanallah, Ramadan is so close…and yet it’s so far away. We won’t reach it until we actually do each it.
2) We can’t wait for the moon to be sighted in order to start increasing in worship. Worship is a 24/7 things, a part of our being, like our arm or leg. We shouldn't only worship, recite, do and think during those days or Ramadan.
3) As women, sisters many of us spent most of days caring for our families and homes, it leaves little time for worship and extra activities. But with a few hours or days of planning and preparing we can make the best of this holy month.

So .... We need to start now NOW.

We need to get excited NOW.We need to start prefecting our prayers NOW.We need to start increasing in recitation of the Quran NOW. We need to start increasing in giving charity NOW. We need to ditch those sins NOW.We also need to start preparing our families, homes and kitchens NOW.

Anyway, for those who are struggling to prepare for Ramadan: don’t fret and take things step-by-step.

It won’t be easy and it takes dedication but enchallah we can do it together! Expanding on what I started 3 years ago I'm putting together a Ramadan Series that can help me and you to take small and permanent (enchallah) steps to make Ramadan easier that bring us closer to our Creator. I will be focusing on the actions we can make as Muslimahs by posting videos, ideas, quotes, tips for stress-free Ramadan and a full month Ramadan menu that enchallah will be motivational and inspirational (for you and me, for all). And in each post I'll be including beautiful pictures of mosques in Algeria.

I hope this can become interactive where we are all able to discuss both our successes and failures.

Join in on the conversation on Facebook.

Our focus will mainly be ... getting information about Ramadan to those who are non-Muslim or new and also preparing spiritually, mentally, planning, clearing out, shopping, menus and tips for a stress Ramadan household.
