The Teal TadjineI am very happy to share with you all our first "Shining Stars" series, where my dear readers send in their lovely creations and get to SHINE! It's really is an honor to see all these creations as well as reading all the feedback in the comment box, email and on Facebook. I appreciate all the questions, suggestions and discussions and the loyalty :D

Today, we have a nice list of creations to showcase.  I was gleefully delighted and surprised Mach'Allah to see my Facebook and email overfowing with entries. The best compliment is when readers actually try out the recipes here! I'd like to thank all the "stars" for their scrumptious photos!

Please remember, "Shining Stars" will be a regular feature on The Teal Tadjine. You can easily submit your  versions of recipes from my blog AND/OR your very own Mediterranean - North African creations  (as long as they use real food ingredients - no faux packaged food please). You simply need to send me the photos via EMAIL, Facebook or Google + along with your name (or nickname), link to your blog/site (if appliable) and the name of your dish. It's very simple!

MachAllah I'm also happy they turned out well for you sis!

Nicole submitted this modern twist of Tadjine Zeitoun - Algerian chicken with olives (recipe found here) by serving it with quinoa. I'm not really familar with quinoa myself as we don't have this grain/seed here in Algeria. But Nicole tells me it's really healthy, delicious and very popular now in the US. Her dish also serves as a great reminder that we don't have to always follow recipes to the "tee" in most cases (in cooking, not baking) we have lots of room to adapt, change, modernize dishes and be creative. I know I sure do!

The delightfully gifted Karima of  Karima's Crafts submitted Bradj - Algerian date bar cookies. (Recipe found here) Please visit Karima's innovatively creative blog where you can find ingenious tutorials for all things from refurbishing furniture, reuse/recycle, sewing, kids' crafts and Islam related projects Mach'Allah!

Maria, also a Facebook fan submitted this mouthwatering Loubia (recipe found here) YUM-O!

And here's my friend Meriem JoAnn version of Loubia (recipe found here). She said her husband requested it twice now Mach'Allah and Sahtadkoum (to your health)!

And my long time reader and friend Umm Ibrahim mach'Allah submitted these dinty little Chrik  - Algerian orange blossom buns (recipe found here) Love it!

And finally dear reader Safiyah WOWed us with ALL these fantabulously exquisite pics!
