I have to honest I love bright, vibrant beautiful looking food. 😎 And sometimes I just want something beautiful for suhour. It doesn't matter to me that we're having suhour around 3am in Algeria, I just want something beautiful!

Smoothies are one of my favourite meals. They’re portable, tasty and so simple to make! But have you enjoyed a smoothie bowl yet?

Smoothie bowls turn breakfast or suhour into a healthy art form with their beautifully presented smoothie bowl creations.

Smoothie bowls are a mega trendy super-thick smoothies enjoyed in a bowl with a spoon rather than a glass and straw. They're a fantastic way of easily getting a few (hidden) servings of fruits, vegetables, protein and/or healthy fats in your diet with little fuss.

To me, the best part about smoothie bowls are that they're easy to make and enjoyed by children and adults, alike.

I used some very ripe fruit I picked up at my local market. I choose ingredients based on their nutritional value. You can use any flavour combination you like. Above I made a pin-able 'How to Make a Smoothie Bowl' with lots of suggestions for you to try!

    Storage
⇝ This smoothie is best fresh. If you make it ahead, be sure to consume within a few hours as I have found this smoothie separates. But you can pre-prep the ingredients putting them into freezable bags, then freeze. Just plop all the ingredients in the blender when ready to consume. Then decorate.

    Variation
⇝ You could optionally use other fruits. Take a look at my suggestions above!

    Substitutions
    ⇝ Use a non-dairy yoghurt for vegan.
