Tlitli bel Djedj | Algerian Bird's Tongue Pasta with Chicken

Marhaban Bikoum! Greetings! Welcome to my channel and blog. Bienvenue sur ma chaine youtube, et mon blog. http://thetealtadjine.blogspot.com

Tlitli is a traditional Algerian dish, originally from the eastern part of the country, based on traditional pasta called "tlitli" or bird's tongue. You can substitute commercial orzo pasta in this dish, if you like. This dish is prepared in white or red sauce. Today, I'm preparing a red sauce. For the white sauce, simply omit the tomato paste, dersa (red pepper paste) and harissa. I'm be preparing this dish the traditional way, steamed in keskes/couscousier (couscous steamer) over the sauce. Optionally, if you don't have one of these you can use a steamer basket or simply cook the pasta in the sauce. ★★★★ Looking for other great traditional Algerian dishes? ★★★★ http://thetealtadjine.blogspot.com/se... ★★★★ INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED ★★★★ 👉 English 1 kg – 2lbs chicken legs & thighs 500 grams o- 1lb f tritli (bird tongue, orzo or rice shaped pasta) 200g - 1 mug chickpeas, pre-cooked 1 large onion finely chopped 4-5 young zucchini 4-5 carrots (optional) Hardèboiled eggs, for decoration Fresh parsley or coriander, for decoration Harissa, to taste (optional) Olive oil or butter 1 cinnamon stickk OR 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 TBS tomato paste 1 TBS dersa (red pepper cream) salt and white pepper, to taste ♒♒♒♒♒♒ 👉 En français 1 kg de cuisses de poulet 500 grammes de tritli (langue d'oiseau) 200 g pois chiche, pré-cuit 1 gros oignon finement haché 4-5 jeunes courgettes 4-5 carottes (facultatif) Oeufs durs, pour la décoration Persil frais ou coriandre, pour la décoration Harissa, au goût (facultatif) Huile d'olive ou beurre 1 bâton de cannelle OU 1/2 cuillère à café de cannelle moulue 1 CS pâte de tomate 1 CS dersa (crème de poivron rouge) sel et poivre blanc, au goût ♒♒♒♒♒♒ 👉 Magyarul 1 kg-os csirkecomb 500 g tlitli (madár nyelv, risoni, orzó,  nagyszemű rizs formájú tészta) 200 g - 1 bögre csicseriborsó, előfőzve 1 nagy hagyma apróra vágva 4-5 fiatal cukkini 4-5 sárgarépa (opcionális) Kemény tojás, a díszítéshez Friss petrezselyem vagy koriander, díszítésre Harissa, ízlés szerint (opcionális) Olívaolaj vagy vaj 1 fahéjrúd VAGY 1/2 tk őrölt fahéj 1 EK paradicsompüré 1 EK dersa (pirospaprika krém) só és fehér bors, ízlés szerint ★★★★ GET INSPIRED OVER AT MY RECIPE & TIP INDEX ★★★★ http://thetealtadjine.blogspot.com/p/... ★★★★ LET'S CONNECT ★★★★ I N S T A G R A M: https://www.instagram.com/thetealtadjine F A C E B O O K: https://www.facebook.com/TheTealTadjine P I N T E R E S T : https://www.pinterest.com/henikodz ★★★★ TRIED MY RECIPES? ★★★★ If you have tried one of my recipes or tips let me know!
